Amazing Grace

A lot of you have been asking and praying about the church that we visited. They have truly been an answer to prayer. We have attended Sunday morning services in part twice, and two of their home Bible studies twice, and we plan to continue going. Even though they do not have any denominational ties, we have not disagreed on any studies or points so far. They say that they only go from the Bible, so everything is based on the Truth. We have had the sweetest times singing, praying, studying and discussing. And we can't wait to get together and fellowship with them on Tuesday evening (that's our next home study). Sometimes, you think that persecuted Christians live only in Islamic or Communistic countries, but we have heard stories of children not having any friends in school and being picked on and made fun of; Citizens that are snubbed by the whole town, mayors that will not grant even a book stand being positioned in town...and so on. Some have said that they have witnessed and ministered to their family for 20 years...and they still weep over their souls, but they have HOPE. They are not all from the same village, but from different ones around, several claiming that when they first became believers, that thought that they were the only ones in the whole world who believed that way, and after living here for a few months, I understand now.

Today, we sang a familiar song - Amazing Grace, but in English. It reminds me that those around us that we love, are lost and blind, and the only One who can open up their eyes is Jesus. Please be in prayer for the people here in Austria, that their eyes, ears, and hearts will be opened to the Gospel message.
