Sometimes when discouragement seems to come at you from all angles, suddenly you find yourself on the path holding a lamp in your hand, seeing exact moments where God had intended you to be. We were fortunate enough to be standing amidst one of those unusual moments last week. Did you know, that sometimes God can put about 15 years of work and unusual circumstances to allow 5 minutes of conversation with one individual? Does that even make sense?
It's hard to explain, but the short story is that an unusual reaquaintance with an old friend has lead to Christoph being able to share his testimony with her boss, who that same night was going to be hearing how to give his life to Christ. The testimony might have been just the encouragement that this man, Otmar, may have needed to hear, at precisely the right moment. I cannot convey in words the joy and revelation that we felt after leaving that place and having the conversations that we had with Otmar. Please be in prayer for Otmar and the decisions that he is making at this pivotal time. We are still waiting for the right time to touch base with him, timing is so sensitive here.
We are finding ourselves learning patience in the midst of spiritual warfare here. We want so badly to see the Big Picture, but realize when we stumble that the Lamp is here to guide our individual steps and not to illuminate the forest.
